Brownies
Super chocolately, these rich brownies sometimes have a hard time setting
For a colourful touch, press a smartie into the top of each square. For more sophisticated look, dust some cocoa powder over the brownies before cutting.

- 200g
- dark chocolate
- 200g
- brown sugar
- 2 tsp
- vanilla extract
- 3
- eggs
- 100g
- plain flour
- 3 Tbsp
- cocoa powder
- Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F). Line an 18cm square pan with baking paper.
- Gently melt butter and chocolate together in microwave, on medium. Beat sugar and vanilla into the mixture.
- Whisk in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in flour, stirring until smooth.
- Pour mixture into pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean with a fem moist crumbs attached.
- Allow to cool, then turn out onto a wire rack and cut into squares.
