Microwave Baked Pears

Want dessert in a snap? These delicious pears take just minutes to make

Change it up! Use apples or stone fruit instead of pears, or try replacing the brown sugar mixture with some thinly sliced Mars bars.

  1. Wash pears, then halve and core. Place halves in large bowl or pyrex dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Spoon sugar mixture over pears, then drizzle honey over them.
  4. Microwave for 2 minutes, then in 30 second increments until cooked.
  5. Remove pears, then microwave sauce for another minute.
  6. Allow sauce to cool slightly, then spoon over pear halves. Serve fresh with ice cream.
